Removing barriersTo enhance entrepreneurship between members states the EU focused on removing the current bureaucratic and administrative barriers to enhance entrepreneurship. This is achieved by making access to opportunities affordable by enhancing the availability of funding and credit with the hope of attracting risk-takers from all over. Equally the different jurisdictions are supposed to support the different phases of entrepreneurship.
Rekindling the entrepreneurship cultureThe EU is focussed on rebuilding the entrepreneurial culture across Europe. The Plan indicates that entrepreneurs are supposed to be role models. The European Commission acknowledges the role of women, senior citizens, unemployed youth, and migrant play and their place as future entrepreneurs. Another issue that the action plan has given weight is the digital age which is seen to be vital for entrepreneurs maintaining competitiveness. Already entrepreneurial education is being realized and according to Universal World News in the Netherlands, all tertiary institutions are offering entrepreneurship education which is a good sign. Although the EU has made several advancements they are however being blamed for failing to support entrepreneurs as they move to grow continentally.
